All I have to say is WOW!!!

Question for ya, what did you use to buff out or polish the rear taillights as I am trying to get one polished out to put back on my car but can't seem to get it right after wetsanding. What procedure would you recc, tools and polishing compounds?

Thanks! Start with a wool pad on a rotary, 4" ideal, Megs 105. Then finish it down with a foam pad with minimal cut and Megs 205. You can jewel it with Menzerna PO85RD.

I figured it would have to be a couple grand. Personally, I would spring for a fresh paint job over such a costly detail job, but I'll bet you're glad not everyone thinks that way.

Well if you wanted a repaint, it would take a lot longer, you'd still have to detail it afterwards to remove all the bodyshops buffer trails and holograms, and you'd still have a paint job that wasn't OEM quality. A decent paint job that would match OEM quality is gonna be $4-5k.

Absolutely ridiculous man! Awesome job

If I could pick your brain: Whats the best way to get wiperblade scratches off of the windshield (from previous owner)? I saw you did some work to the hatch in the pics. I'm a rookie so please be specific!

Thanks in advance

Try this kit out. Its designed my Menzerna, so its no fly-by-night thing, and was intended to remove exactly that kind of thing.

color sanding isn't as hard as you would think. it's a blast to do, seeing the car dull and without shine then hitting it with the cutting compound and seeing the change is awesome.

Wow. That is amazing.

I LOVE it when people take cars that are not as "desirable" because of how they look and transform them into beauty queens they are.

$6600 for mine. Man was I happy though. I will have to say though, with the right paint shop... there will be no detailing afterwards. No buffertrails or holograms on mine. There is a thread somewhere in the appearance seciton of my paint.

91 hours of work... A COUPLE GRAND? Someone got a steal. Our shop (NOT a car shop, we do boat canvas and upholstery) runs $75/hr. I will ONLY drop that down to $60/hr if they can bring the boat to my shop, and we dont have to leave. Even at $60/hr, that would run $5460 plus materials and 8% sales tax.
