My sister's 96 Z28 was totaled when a guy pulled out in front of her. We bought it back and I found a 96 SS bare chassis for $700. A carfax shows that the 35K on the ticker is ACTUAL mileage, so we are rebuilding it instead of the Z28. My problem is that the Z28 is an auto and the SS was originally a 6 speed. But since it's bare everything is gone. I am looking for an LT1 M6 conversion. I will have an LT1 A4 conversion to trade this spring (Marchish). I am not interested in buying outright just yet, I'm hoping there's someone with an M6 wanting to trade for an A4. My email is fivonut at charter dot net. "We bought it back...." actually means my dad bought it back and I'm doing the wrenching for him. It's my personal opinion that putting an A4 in an SS that was originally an M6 is a travesty. The problem here is that I'm not funding this project and if an M6 conversion means trade plus cash, then he has no problem with putting the automatic in it and I am contributing exactly $0 to this project.
