WTB short/longblock

Hey guys I'm looking for a cheap lt1 short or long block that I can rebuild so I can minimized downtime of my car. Let me know what you have. I'm located by Fond du Lac, and I go to school in Madison. The cheaper the better. Must be local.

Re: WTB short/longblock

hey, you belong to brewcitymuscle.... same screen name. mine there is djbuschke. i think i replied to a thread there of yours. anyway, i'm down in racine and i've got a Lt1 short block that has a lot of miles on it, (spun rod bearing #8 1/2 a mile from home one night.. pulled in the driveway never started since) the block is in excellent condition and would be perfect candidate for either a new rotating assembly, or a 383 package!! I only want $250 for it and would even consider driving it up to Fon du lac for ya sometime soon here.
Let me know PM or email thanks!

Re: WTB short/longblock

Duane,

Yep it's me. Thanks for the offer of driving the block up. I ended up finding a virgin shortblock from another member on the board with 80k miles on it. I picked that up today. One thing I am looking for now is the roller cam spyder and those roller lifter retainers. Do you have a set you would part with for cheap?

Thanks,

Scott
