WTB - M6 Shift Boot Retainer: 97+ Interior
The plastic retainer clip that holds the shift boot in place on my Z broke into like 4 pieces. Some of the pieces were lost when they broke off.
Now my shift boot wants to sag into the console.
I tried to get one at GM, but they make you buy the shift boot as well and want me to pay $90 for that, just to get this little piece of plastic.
By some small chance, does anyone have one that I could buy off them?

thanks for the link chevycamaro210, but i have to agree with donohue, still a little much for this little piece of plastic. might as well ebay it if i'm gonna start spending more then $10 or $20 bucks for it
i tried to epoxy it, but when putting it back it (even being very gentle) broke again. its so brittle.
i'll try a different type of adhesive this time
thanks for the replies

e-mail this guy: farmer22@comcast.net
He makes metal shift boot retainers for camaro and firebird's, both LT1 and LS1 if I'm not mistaken. I know I saw someone post on here about them getting one for their LT1 z28, and I just ordered one for my 94 TA. They are cheap also, less then $20 and metal!
Great guy to deal with, spread the word.

Yep that's the guy. He goes by farmer2 on ls1tech. You can try and send him a pm there if he doesn't respond. I've had mine for more than 2 years now and it's holding up great, and sturdy as hell.

excellent. thanks again guys.
i'm in the midst of communicating with him now to get one made. can't wait to get it so i can put my shift boot back on as it hides the wire that goes up the shift stick for my line lock.
