WTB LT1 ignition and vats

Well, i lost the keys to my z, and instead of the dealer cooperating, they want to charge me $600 to find the pellet code and make me a new key. I made a thread asking what i could do to disable vats, but nobody wanted to help, so here goes.

I need an entire ignition assembly, from ignition key, to vats i suppose, im not really sure, i just want to be able to start the car. I'll pay a pretty penny to whoever can help me out on this, even advice that leads to me disabling my own vats system and just getting a normal key made will be reimbursed. i'm desperate about moving this car and getting it running again. i have less than a month to do so. so if anyone has what i need (be it parts or helpful advice.) feel free to call me any time day or night at 513-967-1557

thanks for the help,

Josh

to disable, go here, you might need to try all the resistors(waiting between all incorrect trys), but it will work

I used to work at the dealer....they can figure it out easier than $600 you got something wrong.....most lock guys can figure it out also or bypass it. I used to do it a few times a week
The resistor think works but takes along *** time.....GM came out with that stupid idea in 89' I never understood why they kept it for so long

uhhh can't you put a multi-meter on each side of the pellet and measure the resistance... that resistance should be which resister you need. saves you a whole $2, seeing how a resister is only a couple of cents.
