If yours has the resistor chip you will specifically want one that has the same resistance........You will not be able to just purchase a used lock cylinder and key and expect to use it........This can be done by taking the key down to the dealership after you install these parts and having the same chip similar to the one that was on your old key and put it on your new or used key.........Trust me I went through this, otherwise I have your ignition switch and key if you want it.......No door locks or keys though

yeah mine does have the one with the chip in it, and yes i did all the research already as far as being able to use it. Is your the one with the chip also. i was under the impression that if i got a key with a different resistence i would have to get a copy of that key from a chevy dealership but with the right resistence value. I think this is what you were saying but not sure, and yes i am interested thanks

My keys were stolen and it doesnt make me feel comfortable that somebody else has keys to start my baby, thats why i have no spark plugs battery or starter right now haha

You can use any key and switch as long as the chip has the same resistance as your old one........

hey,
I have the whole set, minus ignition. When i wrecked my car i figured someone would want these. I have the trunk lock, glovebox lock, both doors, and both t-tops. as well as 2 keys. Problem is I dont know where i put them all If you are interested send me an Email and I will try to find them.

There ya go........He has all the door locks with the key and I have the ignition switch with the key.........

Now the question is how soon do ya want this stuff.......
