Re: WTB: Front Bumper for '02 Formula
Hi Ken -
Thx for the reply; I'm interested....checking on shipping.
Called UPS today; interesting info (for anybody).....
Their formula for max package size is: Length (in.) + 2 * width (in.) + 2 * height (in.) has to be less than 165, to be shipped.
Depending on package, oversize charge is $40 adder (didn't explain that one clearly). Shipping w/o box costs $6 extra.
I shipped a couple of fenders in home-made "L"-shaped boxes (2-sided) and they arrived fine; shipping was reasonable (like $30). I will measure my old front cover, or if you can, and estimate LxWxH dimensions, that will tell me if UPS can take it.
My email is rick.somerville@minarikcorp.com.

Re: WTB: Front Bumper for '02 Formula
Thanks - the newer one sounds better....I'm restoring a salvage '02 Formula w/ only 7k miles; would rather not use a repaired if I don't have to (Thanks though Ken).
I'll get some measurements and contact Fedex freight for a quote - I was told today that they can do larger-than-UPS, smaller-than-truckload. Whereabouts are you located?
And would you be able to sortof package them at all? I don't know what's needed, but imagine some cardboard w/ padding anyway.
Thanks,
Rick

Thanks - we exchanged a few emails, and then he just disappeared. So I bought from another source -- appreciate the heads-up.
btw - Cleveland pick a part is a great place to buy parts - prices are good, their computer system is accurate, they built an 'enclosed' pallet and sent me a hatch, bumper, etc. and all arrived fine. They have a big store on ebay too.
I'd strongly recommend ---
