Re: WTB Dash Top Panel
It's the plastic panel that goes on top of the dash to the windshield (has some vents in the middle). I believe regardlees of interior color they are all "dark charcoal grey" / black in color.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: WTB Dash Top Panel
Hi,
I have one out of a '95. It's in great shape (no cracks, scuffs, etc) but it's still in the car right now. I sold one out of a '99 for $150, and that's approximately what they seem to be going for on Ebay, so that's what I would like to get for it. I would pull it out of the car as soon as you need it for that price.
Thanks,
Danielle

Re: WTB Dash Top Panel
I don't have very good luck pulling the in "great shape" dash pads out of my cars. They get so brittle in the sun my employees wind up busting them up.
BTW, They are $90 new from www.gmpartsdirect.com
Go to http://shbox.com/1/Parts.htm for part #'s.

Re: WTB Dash Top Panel
Hi,
I actually wasn't aware of the price on GM parts direct. I parted out a '99 and that's what I was offered for the panel shipped, so that's the price I thought it was worth. I didn't have any trouble at all pulling the panel out. The car is in a garage, not the sun, and I was able to get it out without damaging it at all both times. I can imagine that if it sat in the sun though it would be a problem to pull it out without cracking it.. I only have one car I'm parting out though, not a bunch, so I guess it's a different situation.
Sorry about that
Danielle

Re: WTB Dash Top Panel
No problem....not trying to ***** your post either. I sell quite a bit on eBay, and once in a while ask people why they want to pay me more than retail when they can get it from GM for less.
I get calls for these dash pads all the time...I tell people to spend the extra money (I charge $40) and get one that isn't brittle from the sun. They are a bugger to pull from the older LT1 cars.
Again, no hard feelings...just trying to educate some fellow car guys.
GO KINGS!

Ps. I'm transplanted from Rocklin.

Re: WTB Dash Top Panel
Hey,
No... I really appreciate any input anyone has. I'm not really doing this so much as a business, but a way to afford the parts I need for my own cars. I really don't want to screw anyone, but I have to list a price on here, and I don't always have time to research what the part is worth, so I end up going with the first ebay auction I see that's ending within a day as my only guide.
I am actually a transplant to Rocklin, by the way. I think I'm going to find another place to call home though because I don't fit in here very well, since I don't have some expensive foreign luxury car and make at least 6 figures a year... oh well
Thanks again for your help. I really do appreciate it!
