I just sold my Trans Am to make room for a 3rd generation Camaro.

I am not interested in anything that has been driven by a teenager unless it is a pretty clean car or said teenager knowns what he/she is doing and the car was taken care of.

I prefer a 350 or a 5 speed, or both, but if its clean, a 305 auto is cool.

The most important to me is how clean the car is. I have looked at a handfull of cars and drove many miles looking at them, but none of them were what I am looking for.

I live in Houston, and wish I could find a nice one close by, but if your car is CLEAN, and drives good and has a tight suspension, I will fly in to get it and drive it home.

I have $2900 to work with right now, but that is not my limit, just that CASH I have on hand, ready to hand over.

Also, I am only looking at TPI cars, but like I said, if its real clean, a carb is ok.

Basically what I am looking out for is cars that are not clean under the hood, have scratches on the fenderwells due to engine being taken in and out and being worked on, etc. and cars that are falling apart.

I dont even car if it has been wrecked before if its an awesome running/looking car and it was repaired correctly.

I sold my Trans Am, which was worth $3000 to me, but I am in a hurry so I just sold it for $1500
My Trans Am was pretty much finished aside from a paint job and interior. I already had it running great(rebuilt engine/trans/shift kit, etc), and replaced almost everything that moves on the car, and it would have taken me anywhere I wanted to go, so I dont want something else that doesnt run as good as it did. I would have kept my Trans Am for that. I need a daily driver that can take me to California if I want to with very little problems.

I have seen a lot of nice looking ones on Auto Trader with new paint/engine/trans but they are mostly just too far away or I cant get ahold of them or whatever the case....

The two that I had it narrowed down to JUST sold them the day I sold my Trans Am so I am bummed about that because they were just what I wanted (Man I hate that it happens like that)

And dont worry about if its going to a good owner....I worship the asphalt my tires roll on. I plan on owning this next car for a looong time.
