Need a 3rd Gen y-pipe that will fit a 1987 GTA, or info as to where to get...

 

what kind of y-pipe? factory? aftermarket?

 

the cheapest i can find.. heeh my buddy is not driving his trans am because the Y pipe split at the welds... so anyone would do... as long as it bolts up...

 

well i have the stock y-pipe from a 91 firebird that is the same as the 87

 

are you willing to sell it?

 

Just check whether its a single or dual cat y-pipe...there were some differences.

make an offer i have no use for it. i just looked at the y pipe and it was cut off just before the cat. thw y-pipe is in excellent condition besides beein cut just before the cat. let me know.
if your friend is interested i have hooker supercomp long tube headers mufflex y-pipe and hooker supercomp catback off of my 87 trans am for $500 exhast has about 5 hours run time on it if he is interested get at me.. thanks

Make sure the pipe diameter is the same. The GTA will have a bigger dia. pipe because of the L98 or LB9 thats in it. If the 91 pipe is out of a plain Firebird and not a TPI Formula...it will be a lot smaller. It would be either a V6 or an L03 car.

 

yeah its L98 engine... im not sure of the diameter..
