wanted y-pipe w/ california legal converter

Hey,
I was wondering if anyone knows the cheapest place to buy the whole y-pipe assembly with the california smog exempt converter integrated in. I need everything except the drivers side cat and the o2 sensors. Just curious but what is a reasonable price to pay for a y-pipe with the california cat.

I dont see why it wouldn't, does it still have the cat integrated into the y-pipe with the two o2 sensors? Oh, ya was it cut off or just unbolted?

I got a pair of cats with slp y pipe from a 99 SS that I am selling. I do not know prices because junk yards in CA can not sell smog equipment. I am in sac area if your close I'll bring it down see if it works.

Thanks
Eric

I am in Hanford Ca, its about 2.5 or 3 hours from you. Are the cats from slp also? The drive is no big deal if the price is right I can go get them or you can bring them down either or. Just shoot me a price.

Thanks

Y pipe

The whole y pipe is the stock SLP set up from a CA car, so the cats are the originals that were in the pipe.

I really don't know about a price on the whole deal used because of the fact that it's not legal to sell the used cats in CA at junkyards, etc. The only prices I have to compare to are ebay and junkyards without cats, and those seem to be right around $100. I know a new cat from the dealer is $700, and there aren't any legal aftermarkets for CA yet (I went through this whole deal on my '96 about 2 years ago) So how about SLP's price for a y-pipe without cats which is $200 as my offer, and let me know if that's fair or not because I don't have a clue. Also, I looked at a map, and I can't tell exactly, but if Fairfield's any closer for you I'm there quite a bit so I could meet you there with it as well.

Ok, well just let me know what you're willing to pay and how you want to get it, and we'll work out the details.

Thanks,

Eric

I totally understand your paranoia. I still haven't got mine in my '96 back to perfect (I went with a non CA cat) and it's been 2 yrs of dealing with it. But, no there's nothing wrong with them. The car was totalled at 28k, and I'm just trying to sell some stuff off of it because I bought the totalled car from my friend in trade for labor on his truck and I figured I could use some of the parts for my '98 and sell the rest.

Anyways, how about $150, you pick up?

Thanks,

Eric

Thanks,
Adam
