Throttle cable

CORRECTION TO ORIGINAL POST.
I need throttle cable (new or used) for 1995 camaro Z28 automatic with LT-1, 5.7 L engine, no ASR.. Dealer says GM Part # 12550676

Car Vin 2G1FP32P4S2146994

Hope someone can help me find this throttle cable, I'm really stuck without this, can't drive my car.

As soon as Hawkes opens I'm phoning.
Appreciate any other possible suppliers, salvage and wreckers that might have this part.

Re: Throttle cable

Does the vehicle have the optional traction control (ASR)? That affects throttle cable.

You may have to go with a used part. Hawks sometimes has them in stock:

No.

I simply 1) asked you to clarify the type cable you needed (with or without ASR) and 2) told you where you might find a used cable. I thought that was stated pretty clearly.

Since that part number is "discontinued", unlikely you will find a new part. And a spare throttle cable isn't something the average 93-97 F-Body owner would have in his/her spare parts drawer. On top of that, there is not a lot of traffic on this site.

If you're in a hurry for the part, contact Hawks and/or another F-Body focused salvage yard. If you have time to spare, keep looking for a new part.

I'm simply the site Administrator, trying to help you.

Re: Throttle cable

The part number you got from the dealer seems to be incorrect. It has nine digits; all GM part numbers have eight digits. The correct part number is 12550676.

By the way, you should stop saying “with the Vette engine.” Your Z28 has a 5.7L LT1. A ‘95 Corvette also has a 5.7L LT1, but the two are not identical. Notably, the throttle cables are different.

Re: Throttle cable

I really appreciate the correction ! And advice from everyone.
I am going on GM dealer information.
I'm still in the pickle of not having this cable and not being able to drive my car without it.
