T-top Center Bar - 1993-2002

Need the black center bar that the t-top slides under. Actual need is only the small rubber (plastic ?) caps on each end. Need both end caps (one will be sent to Australia), so they must both be in good condition. Condition of bar otherwise is not important.

TIA

Thanks. Someone gave me a link to Tick Performance. They sell new tiny end caps for the front, but they indicate they are for model year 98-02. Not sure what the difference is from 93-97. I'd buy one from Tick just to try it, but the are asking $50.

Problem now is I need one for a 94 and the guy in Australia needs one for a 98.

GM T-Top Front End Cap Seal for 1998-02 Camaro & Firebird - Tick Performance, Inc.

To make sure I am looking for the right thing, you are talking about the rubber seal at the front and back of the thin black bar that splits the ttop, preferably from a 94 and a 98?

I was only able to snag one cap. Out of 5 ttop cars, only 1 cap was present. This is the front cap from a 98. There is a slight bow in the back and some rust coloring. PM me if you want me to send ityour way.

Thanks. I’ll post a link to this thread on Firebird Nation, for the person from Australia who has the 98 and is looking for the cap.

Re: T-top Center Bar - 1993-2002

Thanks.

I only brought this up because of the person in Australia. He really wants to replace a rear cap that is completely missing. But he has limited access to salvage vehicles, and wants to avoid the cost of buying/shipping an eBay or salvage yard complete bar to Australia. I figured if I could find something cheap, I could justify buying a bar, using the front for my damaged cap, and mailing him the rear cap, just to help out. I'm not hyper about replacing mine.... I 'fixed' it 20 years ago by using a piece of glossy black plastic electrical tape to cover it.

And now, with the indication 93-97 is somehow different than 98-02, my whole idea falls apart.

Re: T-top Center Bar - 1993-2002

Hey Guys, sorry I took so long to find this thread... been busy trying to find work and getting 6 teeth and a cyst removed from my upper jaw.

The photo shows exactly the piece I've been looking for (for a very long time) - please let me know if you're willing to post one to Sydney (Padstow 2211) - I would imagine it should fit into an air mail envelope...?

I can paypal you for it. If there is any chance of finding a few of these, even better.

Thanks!!

PS: Thank you very much to Injuneer ! Very nice of you to do this...!

No problem. Just PM me where you want it sent. I will need to hunt the top of my tool chest, I wouldn't have thrown it away, but it's been long enough that I can't recall the last time I saw it.

I put a link to a new one in post #3. But it is only listed for 1998-2002. And it costs US$50

Yeah, I've seen the ones for $60, that's nuts... convert that to AUD and add shipping, it costs more than the whole centre piece!
I guess I'm hoping someone will be able to scrounge one up from a wreck. Does not seem worth spending that kind of money on what is essentially a small piece of rubber/plastic - I might sound like a tight a$$, but you get what I mean?
