Not necessarily what you were looking for, but I have had mine rebuilt 3 times. I purchased a '96 Z in 98 and have put 285,000 miles on it. I keep the car 100% original so replacing the radio wasn't an option for me. The CD player has a tendency to fail about every 3 or 4 years. The repair cost is about $250. Let me know if you are interested in doing this and I will dig up the name of the company who rebuilds them for me.
