Need an Engine

A friend of mine is looking for an engine to put in his 1970 Camaro. It's not a Z, and we don't really care what engine goes in it, but it has a 305 in it now with an A3 tranny, and he wants more power. Does anybody have/know of an engine that would go well in a 1970 chassis?

I was thinking of an LT1 swap, but I don't know much about the older models, and dont know how well that would work.

We're open to ideas if anyone has some.

Thanks,
T

Wow

Wow. Thats one hell of a set up.

Unfortunately we're looking for just a simple 350, due to budget constraints. If you had an old 350, or a stock LT1 hanging around and could give us a quote of that, he may be interested. As is, I'll mention your post to him, but I dont think he'll want to invest that much right now.

Thanks though, I'll get back to you.

Engine

I have an engine that might be what you are looking for. It is a 355 with Vortec heads, hydraulic roller and a polished intake. It is all fresh, never run. For more info, go to my site in my sig and click on the for sale page. I own Top Fuel Performance. I am negotiable on the price. Let me know if you are interested.
