Need Digital Speedo Cluster for a '97 Z28
I've bought a couple clusters for my 97 Z28 from newer years and neither have worked...come to find out that the only year that will work is a 97 cluster itself. Anyone have one?
I think the one I have is a 97, since that is what my friend says it is out of. How can you tell if it is a 97 or not?
Here are 2 pictures of it mounted in my 95 Dash in my 86 Trans Am,

i dont really think you can tell without it lit up. i know the 97's compared to the 98-up cars have some of the lights in different places. Such as the bright light indicator...its in a different location on the 97 cluster than on the rest of them...i wouldnt know how to check it to see if it were a 97 unless you could snap a pic of it with all the lights on. How many miles does that cluster show?
I don't know the miles on the cluster. I haven't wired up my dash yet so I haven't gotten the guages to light up or do anything yet.
Where is the bright light indicator located at? I'll see if I can locate the one on my cluster.

Just to let you know, it is a 97 Cluster that I have.
I am just curious to know why it read exactly double the RPM when I had it in my brothers 96 Trans Am. to me, that sounds like an LS1 cluster since I read somewhere that the LS1 uses a 4cyl tach signal.
