Need front nose, hood and driver's side fender for 1996 Z-28
Paint Code 9566
I know this is a stretch, but there has to be a silver Z hit in the rear with good front body panels somewhere. I am afraid that new paint will not match my old paint, and thought I'd try to find silver parts first...

Any other suggestions?!?

 

thats why they have color matching...you take a chip from your car(an old piece thats hit or something) and they match that to a perfect match of your color...then they mix the paint and your set to go with the same color on your car..its done allthe time with cars that have been hit

 

I don't think that is a big secret or anything...but I have seen two silver cars that were repaired and you could see a big difference in the colors. Both of these cars where done by reputable shops. I figured that silver must be hard color to match. What I will probably do is paint the entire doghouse and hope you can't tell it because of the break at the doors.

 

silver is one of the hardest to match - if you change the pressure on the gun a little bit you can get a difference in the color/hue

 

i know it is...just letting you know...but anyways i have a silver 97 SS fender...couldnt tell you the paint code but can get you pics if you pm your email...its in good shape just has the ss emblem..that might be a prob getting off....
