I need a body control module (BCM) for my '97 3800 Camaro. Let me know what you got.

 

i have BCMs from a 94z28

 

From my understanding, I need one from a Fbody that is 96 or newer. Otherwise it would be a retained accessory power (RAP) module.

 

what's the part number on the one you have?

I will have to look to be sure, but I am pretty sure I still have mine from my 96Z. Worked fine when it came out I removed it for weight on a race only car.

 

When you get one make sure you get a key or at least the VATTs code for the key. Because this system is in the BCM the code will change to whatever BCM you install.

I have one at home I bought off ebay a while back, it was not the same part number as what I had so I never used it. I'll get the part number on it and post up later tonight. I was told you could get dealer to reprogram and it would work but I dont know for sure

I actually sent out a payment for one from a board member here yesterday. I'm hoping it will work as is. I know it is highly unlikely, but if not, then I'll figure something out.
