Question Re: 8mm Wires/new Plugs

hey 94camaro
My friend was telling me there really isnt much reason for 8.5mm wires..and if i remember right, they have problems fitting sometimes..?is that true? pros/cons of going to 8.5? i heard the 8mm are good up to like 400-450hp or something.. otherwise that sounds like a great deal thanks,
Derek

Hey 1Qwik94Z, you never responded to my pm. If your not interested in them, or don't like Taylor's it would be nice to atleast reply and say your not interested.

I never knew spark plug wires had a horsepower rating???

Re: 8mm Wires/new Plugs

Im not too sure about the hp rating either but my 8.5s fit fine in the stock location... just squeeze em in there a bit or re-route them like I did so they werent any where near the headers... Shoot me an email if youre intrested...

Thanks, Ryan

Red face Re: 8mm Wires/new Plugs

hey NX..your PM box has been full
***The over the valve kit..Is this something you can run even if you dont have headers? I dont (have headers) yet..and it will most likely be awhile since Im short on cash before I do those. But if I chose not to run them 'over'..would they be too long and have an excess of wire for each plug or are they the same length just re-routed? Like I said, I dont have headers and Im wondering if this would be better anyways since its easier access to the wires and keeps them out of harms way..? how much just for the wires shipped if you're willing to seperate? I really dont need the heat shields (no headers). Thanks, Derek.****
And with the whole 'hp rating thing'..i meant..with a lot more power basically..dont you need a lot more spark? hence the bigger wires? maybe not i dunno lol.. Just not sure of the point of bigger wires (more than 8mm anyways)...Ive heard some people (including shoebox) using stock wires on hyped up engines..
