WTS: 1969 Z/28 DZ 302 Engine
This is one of the famous 302cui engines correct for a 1969 Z/28 Camaro. Originally advertised at 290 horsepower, these engines actually make around 450 horsepower and will spin to 8,000rpm with ease. On this engine all casting numbers and date codes are correct for it being an original DZ code engine. However, sometime in the past the engine block was zero decked and the production code on the front of the block was removed. This is a professionally rebuilt engine. It was rebuilt using all top quality original components or new parts where necessary. The engine has zero time on it since being rebuilt. It features a standard bore and standard crankshaft which is exceptionally rare. The rotating assembly is fully balanced for enhanced performance. All new bearings, gaskets, and freeze plugs were used.
