Turbo 400 trans and stall converter REVISED

I have a Turbo 400 trans and a custom built 2800 stall converter for sale. They only have 20 miles on them. I need the money and have to sell my car so I am parting it out. There is nothing wrong with them. I paid $4000 for them, asking $2200.
Email or call me at 313-980-1428

Steve

I went back and checked the receipt. I only paid $2700, so I will reduce the price. The few specs the receipt has are an overhaul kit, blue plate fraction, race sprag, kevlar band, and H-5 torque conveter. I can find out more when I call. How's $1500/best.

Re: Turbo 400 trans and stall converter

From all the raceheads I've talked to that's not a bad price. My dyno guy had a shop that built custom transmissions so he had it done. It is supposed to be able to handle over 1000 hp.

What has been changed in it? List the parts that are in the tranny? Kind of stall converter? What has been changed in that? Anti-ballooning plates?

Need to know more details if you want to sell it..

Re: Turbo 400 trans and stall converter

The stall converter was custom built. My dyno guy had it built and I took his word for it that it was built right and strong. I honestly don't know what was done to it.

Re: Turbo 400 trans and stall converter

It's going to be impossible to sell that tranny without specs. I am in the market for a turbo 400, but I can have one built to my specs to handle 1000 hp for under 2,000 shipped to my door.

You can't with a custom built 2800 stall convertor. The convertor would cost $800-1000. That asking price is for both, and is just an asking price. I would split them if you just want the trans. I can give the shop that built it a call when they are open tomorrow and get some specifics.

Re: Turbo 400 trans and stall converter

2200 is really quite high...i can get a 400 with the brake converter custom built for my car and all hardened shafts and everything built to handle the same power for 1800 NEW

and what so nice about a custom 2800 stall? kinda puny isnt it?

im really looking for a trans but new is cheaper.....
