TCI TH-350 trans, convertor, shifter
My friend is taking the TCI Streetfighter TH-350 out of his 79 Z28 for a T56 swap. The trans is only a couple years old, it got a new TCI Breakaway 11" convertor last year, and he just ordered a new bolt-on bellhousing for it. He'll even throw in the B&M ratchet shifter for it. The trans itself has low miles on it, and was not a daily driver. The car is driven on nice days in the summer only, so figure a couple thousand miles of street driving, and maybe a handful of races. Trans shifts good and firm, and does not leak. The convertor is rated at 2500 rpm stall, but stalls around 3000 behind his 383 stroker, so it's very streetable. Also includes the trans cooler and all lines, as well as the flexplate, which is for a 383 externally balanced. Basically, anything he doesn't need for the T56 is for sale. He'll probably separate it all up too if you dont want the whole thing.
Make me a reasonable offer, and I'll see if he's interested.
EDIT - He cancelled the order for the bellhousing when he got the T56, so as the trans sits, it has a cracked bellhousing, but is easily fixed with a new bolt on bellhousing that costs $200. He will sell the trans cheaper, or buy the bellhousing for you.

Convertor is an 11" Breakaway, not a Streetfighter. It is rated at 2500 rpm, but stalls around 3000 rpm behind his 383 stroker. Sorry for the mix up

I'll call him tonight and see what he wants for the whole package. He's at school right now (UTI). I'm not sure about shipping though...it will probably have to be truck freighted, so figure maybe $100 for that. I dunno...I've never truck freighted anything before. I will let you know as soon as I talk to him though.

I just talked to him. He told me that he cancelled the order for the bellhousing when he got the T56, so he'll sell it all cheaper. The flexplate is from an externally balanced 383.
He wants you to pm or email your number to me so he can call you and talk to you directly about it if you're still interested.

Youre joking, right? It would cost half almost half of that just to ship it, since it has to be truck freighted.
