Stock rear end 1993 Z28 complete wo backing plates

SOLD.... SOLD SOLD.
I have just removed the stock rear end complete (less backing plates and brake calipers) from my 1993 Z28. This car has about 20,950 total miles and the gears and bearings are in very good condition. The gear ratio is 3:23-1.
I am asking $150 or best offer.

Jim in Orlando FL.

The rear will fit but you will have to use your axles because the lt1 and ls1 axles are different lengths. I found this out the hard way

uhh - what? ^^

Then why do I see tons of LT1/V6 guys buying the LS1 axles & driveshafts for their cars? I know the V6 guys do it for the disc brakes and such and LT1 guys prolly do it for replacements????

Yes, the 1993 rear will fit your 1999. I also have a 1999 Z28 and have swaped the rear out in that car too.

Hambone: If you could state your post in another way I could probably understand what your are saying better. If I am sell the rear with the axles why would he want to put his axles in from a 99? I am positive the rears are the same from 1993 foward. The backing plates might have a difference but doubt that also.

Re: Stock rear end 1993 Z28 complete wo backing plates

Here is the deal.......
I have a 95 Z-28 and I got a rear from an 02 ws-6 and used my backing plates, brakes, rotors etc. Had a bad grinding problem from it beacuse the axles are actually a different length due to the 98+ having bigger brakes than the lt1s.

To make it work with the 99 he would either have to use his axles OR lt1 brakes to include rotors, calipers, backing plates, etc. All of the parts are different.

With mine I choose to get lt1 axles and swap them out with the ls1 axles. When I did this I measured the two and there is a difference in length.

Hope this clarifies.
