Selling my entire turbo project around Christmas...
Selling my entire turbo project around Christmas...
Some things have come up and I'm looking to part the entire car. Here's a basic of stock options:
http://groups.msn.com/JesseBoyer/for...oto&PhotoID=46
'94 M6 Formula, black leather, power every thing, ~65k miles on car. I bought it with a light front hit and had my local guys bolt on a 98+ front end. Litterally, since I've had this car I've only put 8k miles on it. ~3k stock, 4k with a heads/cam setup, 1k with the new motor/turbo/etc setup. After school, I simply lost the desire to finish it. The SpeedPro is tuned for part throttle, but isn't tuned for WOT. I blew an exhaust gasket and had to stop tuning. Since then, I've put new copper gaskets in it and havent' been back to finish the tune. Buying a house, other toys, etc has taken priority and I simply wish to sell at this time. I'm going to put new plugs/wires on and that should solve the existing "miss."
drivetrain
*357ci (.040 over) LT1 block with splayed mains
*Cola Crank
*Crower rods
*JE custom pistons (~9:1 comp.)
*GTP stage 3 heads (copper gaskets, o-ringed)
*matching ported intake
*Cam motion cam (214/210 on 115LSA. VERY streetable)
*1.6 Crane Gold rockers
*CSI water pump
*McLeod Street Twin with billet master
*double roller timing chain
*95+ vented opti
*stock T56 trans, stock rear end.
NOTE: motor was re-freshened when I bought it (<1000 miles ago). Clutch was NEW when installed (<1000 miles ago
turbo stuff
*Turbonetics T76 turbo, godzilla BOV, RACEgate
*Turbo Tech manifold, crossover pipe, SLP passenger's side header
copper header gaskets
*FMIC: 5.5" thick, mounted right behind the license plate area
*3-gauge pillar with elec. fuel pressure, non-elec boost, non-electric pyro (exhaust temp gauge; excellent for monitoring lean conditions)
*oil scavaging pump for proper oil return from the turbo to pan
fuel, spark, management
*SpeedPro (now F.A.S.T) ECU with wideband with FastTrackPerformance splice-in harness. SpeedPro controls all motor functions and the stock ECU controls the gauges, fuel pump, etc. It's a neat system.
*4-coil Delteq ignition system
*Racetronics in-tank pump with harness
*KB Boost-a-Pump
*Delphi 75lb/hr low impedence injectors
misc stuff
*18" Fittipaldi (made by OZ, these are Italian imports if I recall correctly) wheels with 275 Kuhmo's.
*Eclipse CD player
WITH the exhaust leak, I got 19mpg on a partial tune over a 150 mile drive (returning the car from the dyno to my shop). It actually drove very nicely, but the opti went out before I could tune again. So, after fixing the exhaust leak and installing a NEW opti and NEW Delteq system, it's back on the road.
The car isn't perfect. It has some scratches and the paint is pealing off the bumper in the front.
I'm asking 10k for the complete car. OR, if someone is interested in buying several major parts, I might part it out. Yes, it'll KILL me, but I'll do it if the entire drive train is spoken for. If interested in all or part, let me know.

Re: Selling my entire turbo project around Christmas...
good morning,
I'm deployed on Hurricane Duty till Dec 22nd and I'll be parting it after that. So, everyone will get pics as soon as I get home. I'll update the first post to reflect what each user is interested in. Hopefully, I can do that tonight.
Brook: the turbo setup is simply the TTi manifold, SLP passengers side header, TTi xover pipe (with RACEgate mounted), Turbonetics T76. The FMIC is a one-off unit that I built tubing for. It's no "show car" system, but it works
-B: I'm certain the gauges will stay as one package. As will the turbo setup (FMIC and BOV will stay with the rest of the turbo system).
If there's anything else, let me know.
