SBC 355ci shortblock, speed pro, eagle, Scat crank,

355ci SBC shortblock out of my car. The motor may have 800 miles on it and a few 1/4 mile passes, no nitrous passes. 2 piece rear main, 4 bolt mains, The block has been bored .030, flat decked .010, align bored, Speed Pro CNC machined lightweight pistons, Eagle Specialty "I" beam 6 inch forged rods, Scat 3.48" stroke crank. Motor is internally balanced and comes with balancer, timing cover, flywheel, oil pan new main and rod bearings, new mellings high volume oil pump, oil pickup, and steel oil pump shaft. Shortblock also comes with an Erson .660 lift solid roller cam, and for a little bit more, I can throw in a set of Crane solid roller lifters. The motor is still in the car assembled, but I thought I'd gauge interest before I pull it out and start on a new shortblock. I'm located in Kentucky, first $950 takes it.

is the flywheel for LT1 and would you be willing to trade the flywheel for a scat flexplate plus cash?

No the flywheel isn't for an LT1, it's for a traditional sbc.

1984camaroz28- Why do you wish it was in NY, I can ship if you're interested. Let me know...

Why are you selling this motor? are there any problems with it? Also does that mean it will not fit an LT-1

Re: SBC 355ci shortblock, speed pro, eagle, Scat crank,

The only reason I'm selling the shortblock is to move on to more cubic inches. I've got a bare 400 block I'm wanting to start on and need some spare cash to get started on it. The motor may have 800 miles on it, the car was only driven around town locally with the t-tops out, just to cruise in. And plus, with the cam that's in the motor, it sounds just nasty putting around. I'm wanting to build a 412ci motor for the heads I've got and 355ci just isn't going to be enough. This motor had very low 11 second potentials on just the motor, and can easily handle a 150hp shot of nitrous. Plus, if anyone is interested, I can try to have it shipped somehow.

Re: SBC 355ci shortblock, speed pro, eagle, Scat crank,

what did the compression come out to? mine came out a little higher than expected but i think it will make it a little more fun.. thats a pretty good mph on the et there.. everyone should note that a 1000 bucks is an excelent deal..

Re: SBC 355ci shortblock, speed pro, eagle, Scat crank,

Well, the cam that's in it now didn't really match out to my heads very well, I needed a cam with a lot of low end power, the Erson cam in the motor didn't start pulling good till about 6000rpms. Oh and by the way, with a 64cc head, compression is right at 10.3:1. Very pump gas friendly, no $5 a gallon race gas here.
