Ok here goes. I dont want to sell my car, but my current situation isnt leaving me much choice. I am active duty US Army and I dont have the time or money to keep up with my Trans Am anymore. I now drive a 1970 Ford So anyways, heres what ive got...

1996 Pontiac Trans Am, LT1 350, 6 speed, 88,xxx miles, Bright Red, T-tops, grey cloth interior, brand new C5 Corvette wheels and tires, lots of brand new parts including clutch and opti-spark. I have most receipts. I am currently in Fort Knox, Kentucky, just south of Louisville.

The Good: This car looks great. I have owned it since March 22 2002 and I paid $12,500 for it. It had 68,641 miles on it at the time. I still have the bill of sale. I am now asking $5700 and it has only 20,000 more miles on it than when I bought it. The pictures say alot, so I wont go into detail on "how great my car is." I still have people ask me if its new, so I know it looks good. It was well taken care of.

The Bad: Every car has its bad points and I will do my best to mention them all. It might sound bad but I want to be sure you know exactly what youre dealing with. As far as appearance. Theres not much noticeable damage. However it is a 96, thats 8 years old. There is a key scratch on the drivers side that runs most of the length of the car, and the back bumper has paint chipping off on the passenger side corner, as if it had been backed into in a parking lot or something. Anything else is minor blemishes. A paint job would fix any of it, but it still looks great as it is, most of these pictures were less than a month ago.
Mechanically I am confused. Theres only one thing wrong with it and I cant seem to figure it out. I can do basic things but when it comes to diagnosing problems, im lost. The car started running really rough one night. I have always heard that the opti is known for this so I decided to try changing plugs and wires first, and see what happened. It didnt seem to change anything so I went ahead and put a brand new GM(not a remanufactured cheap one) opti-spark in. It runs alot better, but still seems to be missing. I just dont have the time or money to look any further into it.
Besides that, the only other thing I know of is that the shocks need replaced. Its old enough that they should be anyways, its a pretty rough ride on these old factory ones.
