Ported LT1 intake

fully ported LT1 intake

TB opened to 58 MM, runners enlarged from gasket area to plenum area.

$300 for intake with portwork or $200 with your core.

I have only seen pics of the AI intake so I am not sure what measurements they are getting in certain reas. If they are not welding up the intake, it will be limited by material (or how thin you wanna get the material) just like mine.

We remove about 3 lbs of material from the intakes.

Hard to really compare with out having one right in front of me.

ok cool. i was just curious because i see them talking up there stage 1 port on it alot. just wanted to see if it is as good as they say it is.

what about the new edelbrock intake for us lloyd. have you gotten a chance to port one of those? how much better is it then the ported stock one vs ported or unported edelbrock air gap?

I am intrested in having my intake ported over the winter, but i have a question about one thing. I have a feeling that my intake needs to be "adjusted" because the heads have been decked a bit and the block was zero decked when i did the 383. I installed the intake and its been running great but i remember when i installed it that i had to open up some of the holes on the intake because the angle of the intake was slightly different than the heads/block.

Would you be able to fix that along with the porting of the intake and would it cost extra?

Also, do you weld above the injector bosses in order to remove extra runner material? If not how much extra would it cost?

and Finally.

Would a ported intake REALLY help me?

Engine is a 383CI-10.7:1 with the following cam and head flow numbers.
Cam: 224I/234E @ .050" 279I/286E Advertised with .521"I/.510"E Lift 113lsa

Heads flow as follows(AFR 195's + work):
Lift/Intake/Exhaust w/tube
.100/74/54
.200/146/102
.300/202/138
.400/246/168
.500/265/191
.600/269/206

I'm sorry about the length of the question but I do appreciate your response.

Thank you,
T.C.

Intake Is Sold

intake is sold

The Edelbrock intakes are about on par with a ported stock intake. A ported Edelbrock is better than a ported stock LT1 intake though.

try intsalling the intake with no gaskets and see if the bolt holes line up. If so, just mill the intake the thicknmess of the gasket.

I charge $100 extra to weld above the injectors and then $200 for the portwork ($300 total).

really depends on how well the rest of the set up flows air (CAI, TB, heads, cam, headers, exhaust, etc, etc) but most set ups making 380 RWHP will see a 10-12 RWHP gain. Less RWHP will see less gain and more HP will show more gain.

I just had Lloyd port my intake, i vouch on saying it does make a difference. I have a 383 as well and from 5000RPM's on up, it picks up much quicker. Yeah i say so about extra 10-15RWHP. thanks again Lloyd!
