Polished Hood/Hatch strut service
Polished Hood/Hatch strut service
I've gotten a lot of positive feedback after polishing my hood struts, so I'm thinking about offering it as a service to my fellow F body enthusiasts.
This is just a feeler, but would anyone be interested in this? I could offer the service two ways -
One : You send me your hood/hatch struts in good working condition, and I will fully polish & clear coat them and return them back to you. For this I was thinking a ballpark of 65$ including return shipping back to you.
Two : I will purchase and polish/clear a brand new set of struts and mail them to you promptly. For this a ballpark would be around 120$ including return shipping back to you. 120$ is based on Camaro hood struts, pricing may vary slightly for different year/model.
It takes a lot of time and effort to fully polish each strut. I take each one through a 5 step polishing process before clear coating them to seal in the finish. The whole process takes about 3-4 hours per pair and is all done by hand. The finished product is a beautiful, chrome like shine that will never fade or rust thanks to the clear coat.
Again, this is just an idea I came up with after mine came out looking so good. I know there has been some interest in these and no one currently markets them, so I wanted to try my hand at an affordable solution. They look great in the engine bay and really add a nice touch.
Let me know what you guys think!

Re: Polished Hood/Hatch strut service
I've gotten my first customer
I will have them post up pics of the struts installed in the engine bay when they are finished!
Your Name
Address to return or ship them to
What you would like done - purchase new set or have yours polished (if purchasing a new set, list your year, make & model)
I will promptly return your PM with my shipping address and paypal info for payment. Turn around time will be 1 week + shipping time tops, most likely a day or two + shipping time. I'm confident you guys are going to love the way they look. They really add a nice touch to the engine bay, whether it's a show car or DD.
If I get enough interest in this maybe I will be able to become a supporting vendor!

Re: Polished Hood/Hatch strut service
Once again, something that has nothing to do with you and you're butting in where you don't belong.
The issue is I used another members pics to show what they look like on the car. I'm starting a new thread with my own pics. No foul play.
