Parting 1996 Formula...
Parting 1996 Formula...
A 1998 Cadillac Deville pulled out in front of my and now my car is totalled. So I'm parting it out...
I've sold a lot of parts, but there' still a lot left. If there's something you need that isn't listed, just ask I might have it.
Here's what I've got:
3.42 TCS/ABS 10-bolt rear with TA Performance girdle (has reluctors at each wheel).
stock rear suspension parts.
TA hatch from a 1999 TA, it's white right now. It appears to be fine, maybe a nick or two.
Stock Formula hatch from my car. It’s white and has maybe a couple minor nicks in the finish. The glass is tinted as well. Needs connectors on the ends of the wires that go inside the car but that’s it.
Customized NOS nitrous kit. It was originally a dry kit for a V6 F-body, but I converted it to a wet kit and purchased jets for 50-175 HP. It includes: The bottle, brackets, remote bottle opener, mechanical nitrous pressure gauge, 20 feet braided line, 2 nitrous solenoids (one main feed and one purge), 1 fuel solenoid, 1 FPSS, a NOS fogger nozzle, jets (as mentioned above), all other hoses and connectors and wiring that I have. EVERYTHING I have minus the electric nitrous pressure gauge.
Electric nitrous pressure gauge, Autometer Sport Comp 2-1/16", black face gauge. It will probably need a new wiring harness from the sending unit to the gauge as I had to cut/splice it to extend and reach the bottle, but I believe I still have the wiring so if you buy the gauge, you get the wiring too. - PENDING PAYMENT
Electric fuel pressure gauge, Autometer Sport Comp 2-1/26", black face gauge. I had to cut/splice the harness to extend the wires under the hood, and have thus far not been able to get the sending unit end of the wire out from under there, it's trapped between the PCM and firewall. If I can get it out later, the buyer gets it too.
Corbeau CR1's with sliders and brackets (considering selling) - To those who have already asked, I will entertain offers below what I mentioned in the PMs. They are grey, a little lighter than the graphite interior of my car.
Stock cloth interior seats, front and rear, no tears that I know of in any seats (as memory serves)
Set of 2 rear floor mats.
I have a stock carpet from a 1999 Trans Am that only had 43k miles on it, I purchased it and was going to install it, but never got around to it.
UMI performance DS loop
Brand new LT1 oil pickup tube and screen
Brand new white high-pressure oil pump spring.
Felpro rubber re-usable oil pan gasket.
Full set of 4 floor mats. The driver's mat has some wear on it, and was trimmed at the corner where the gas pedal goes to keep it out from under the pedal.
The rear bumper cover is fine aside from what appears to be one crack in the paint above the license plate.
Two sequential tail light sequencers, the ones featured on Brent Frankers web site.
Driver's side clear front turn signal for a 93-97 Firebird/TA and possibly a Camaro.
Driver's door with window and tinted glass, power window motor replaced just over 1 year ago.
Brand new, in box power window motor.
Stuff that’s sold:
1996 LT1 engine, with ~116,000 miles, good running engine, included will by the harness, PCM (assuming I can get it out of the car), all accessories, complete from intake to oil pan - SOLD!
1994/1996 4L60E transmission with 3000 RPM Edge converter and trans cooler, It has a Pro-Built Automatics Pro-Street rebuild kit in it. It's technically a 1994 trans with a 1996 valvebody in it. It has the '96 tailshaft and shift linkage connector on it as well. - SOLD!
LS1 aluminum drive shaft - SOLD!
QA1 front suspention, one shock is probably destroyed, but the spring should be fine, the other side should be just fine. - SOLD!
LS1 front brakes (minus one spindle) - SOLD!
Comp Cams 1.6rr NSA Pro-Magnum rockers, with locks, guideplates, ARP 7/16" studs and hardened pushrods. - SOLD!
Mufflex y-pipe for Hooker headers. Has a hanger welded on the passenger side that bolts to the trans to help keep it closer to the floor, and has a 3-bolt flange at the back side, as well as an o2 sensor bung in the collector (where my wideband was mounted). - SOLD!
Magnaflow cat-back, from the Mufflex y-pipe joint to the rear of the car. One tip was slightly squished by the tow truck when unloading the car and pushing it into my garage. Should be able to be opened back up and look fine. The y-pipe junction on this cat-back has a 3-bolt flange so the y-pipe was more easily removed, and for a better seal. - SOLD!
Dynojet Wideband Commander with gauge. It's an Autometer Sport Comp gauge, with a black face. I'm including EVERYTHING except a bung and plug as I can't find them. The sensor is I believe an OEM Volvo unit, so it should last 80,000 miles depending on usage (so says Dynojet). The WBC offers a warning light, that's programmable, it has logging capabilities as well so you can log and download the data from the unit with the supplied USB cable and software. It also has a output as well I think so you could tie it's WB output to a 0-5v input on your PCM and log using Autotap (assuming an OBDII car here). - SOLD!
Mallory 685 ignition box. It's got 2 rev limiters, an adjustable timing retard, start retard, window switch, boost retard, MAP connector, and a tach output. It's digital, pushbutton, and is multispark, CD. Also have the integration harness to connect to at least a 96-97 LT1 car without cutting coil wires. It's been on my car for quite a while and I've had no problem with my Opti either. - SOLD!
3 GS Designs Red Line series DVC (2-ohm per coil) 12" subs. I've been running these for 4 years with 400W RMS per channel and never had a problem. I have two in a sub enclosure that I built, and a spare in a box on a shelf in my garage. The spare one was damaged on the surround but was sent back to the manufacturer for repair. The manufacturer says that the sub is fine now and will operate as it did when brand new. - SOLD!
1 GS Designs GS-4000 2-channel amp, I was running it in 1-ohm stereo pushing 400w RMS per channel to my subs for 4 years and the amp loved it. The amp has a digital display that will show voltage, temp, or RMS power output. - SOLD!
1 GS Designs GS-8000 4-channel, capable of 1-ohm stereo operation (all 4 channel) or 2 ohms bridged. Was sending over 700w RMS to the 12 drivers it ran in my car, never a glitch. The amp has a digital display that will show voltage, temp, or RMS power output. - SOLD!
Two grid pattern tail light housings, they are undamaged with little or no 'bubbling', however the outside sockets were modified for a dual element bulb socket that I used with the sequencers. - SOLD!
Two clear rear side markers for a 93-97 Firebird/TA - SOLD!
Silver painted LT1 valve covers, slightly stained from oil, but nothing's wrong. Modified for 1.6 Pro-mag rockers. - SOLD!
Q-logic kick panels. - SOLD!
Steering column - SOLD!
I'm SURE there's more that could come off the car, like the driver's headlight assembly, the ABS module under the hood, the TCS module from the valve cover, the master cylinder/brake booster, and such. If there's something you'd like to know about and don't see it here, ask and I'll see if it's salvagable.
I do have some ballpark prices in mind for some of this, so if you're interested, PM and let me know. We'll discuss it.
I will entertain REASONABLE offers for parts, and will even consider driving up to 125 miles (Bowling Green, Nashville, Knoxville, etc...), we can meet somewhere and I'll bring the parts kind of thing..

Re: Parting 1996 Formula...
Allbarknobitebird, you have a reply to the PM you sent with info about the hatch.
toofast10, sorry but the DS is already spoken for.
93Z28rare, the visors are old and droopy, and the elastic is loose. If you take something else, I'll throw them in for free. On the switches, you just want the switches themselves out of the door panels, are they the same in the Camaro as the Firebird? I know the panel that snaps in to the door panel is different, so I assumed that the buttons are different too.
Tangering_TA, you have a PM.

2fbodies2NV, sorry it wasn't there when I bought the car.
Camarocracy, you have a reply.
30AnvZ28, I'll get those shipped out once the M/O gets here.
