I bought an LT1 vette motor and pulled the waterpump off and gutted it in prep for a Meziere install. Turns out the B-body and F/Y-body pumps are a little different. I was hoping one of you guys might have gotten stuck with a B-body pump that you wouldn't mind trading for. My pump has been sandblasted and looks good. I can also throw in 2 block to pump gaskets.

You should be aware that F body and Corvette water pumps aren't the same either... [vette has no 'bypass hose' provision..]
So you have a corvette water pump to trade for a Imp/Caprice?

 

Mtrhds94Z, thanks for the info. I'm really falling behind on this project due to my lack of knowledge of LT1 waterpumps. The pump is indeed out of a vette. At least I didn't trade someone for another pump they can't use.

Is there popular Corvette forum I can try to trade on.

A thought that comes to mind is anyone doing an LT1 into [any regular car/hotrod] that uses a 'normal' radiator[one inlet one outlet] since it's better suited to that[Corvette pump has one inlet one outlet and 2 heater hose connections..]
Just a thought.. I am not that versed with the vette pumps but I DO have one I got stuck with [someone sold it to me as a F body pump]
There are 3 different GM p/n's for the LT1 pumps..
F body: 12527741
There's also 12527739 Corvette
And 12527740 Impala/ Caprice

I have the water pump you need powdercoated red and already plugged for an electric water pump. I bought this off ebay not really paying attention to it and seeing that the outlets are different than a F-body. Shoot me an offer if your interested.
