MSD 6AL box with rev limiter
hey guys i have a msd 6al box out of my trans am, it has the capability of setting rev limits this box is mint , just about a year old. was 275.00 new
MSD 6-Series Ignition Boxes Details
MSD 6AL Ignition box is same as 6A ignition box but with built-in Soft Touch rev control that allows you to set an RPM limit to protect an engine from over-rev damage due to driveline failure or missed shifts
Adjustable in 100 RPM increments
Rubber shock mounts and 3000, 6000, 7000, and 8000 RPM modules included
Other MSD RPM Controls can connect to the 6AL (e.g. 3-Step Module Selector or RPM-Activated Switch)
OBD-II approved and 50-state legal via EO #D-40-26
OPERATING SPECIFICATIONS
Spark Energy: 105 to 115 mJ (per spark)
Primary Voltage: 460 to 480 volts
Secondary Voltage: 45,000 volts (Tested with Blaster Coil)
Spark Series Duration: 20° crankshaft rotation
RPM Range: 15,000 RPM with 14.4 volts
Voltage Required: 12 to 18 volts (negative ground)
Current Draw: 1 amp per 1000 RPM
Dimensions & Weight: 8" L x 4" W x 2.25" H, 3 lbs
