Steve,

Pm'ed back. I'm really looking for a spool and not a locker. This rear is exactly what I need. Thanks for the info. I have a LS1 friend that may be interested in this and I will pass the info along.

WARNING!!!!!! Update on this rear end I bought from Paul. After receiving the rear end about 4 days after I initially thought I was going to get it, I found one HUGE problem with the rear. It was classified as Moser 12 bolt in a LT1 car. It has the TA bracket for it and that’s about it. . Come to find out the day before the event I was suppose to attend, the housing ends were of a Large Ford Bearing and no Lt1 or LS1 brake would work on the car. I knew the car had race brakes, but was never told by the seller that my LT1 or LS1 brakes would NOT work. So I have two very expensive choices. I either buy a 600.00 Wilwood brake kit for the car or chop my axle housings off and buy new axles, which would have been the same price. I get no response back from the seller after several phone calls and PM’s through this board and no explanation. I could have spent the same amount of money and bought a brand new unit shipped for the price I paid. I’m so furious the people “neglect” to let buyers now exactly what their getting. So I have a nice new 600.00 plus brake setup for the rear that I never planned on buying on the car. Just a huge letdown from someone to do that to a fellow f-body guy. First time I got F’ed on any transaction I’ve made on Camaroz28.com.

Doug,

That certainly does suck. I wish I could help you out, but I've sold all my stuff. Did you try PMing that Marverickm or whatever the **** his name is? He's the one that posted this link in your WTB thread. Good luck getting this sorted out. BTW, PM N20Dave, I think he has race brakes he's going to be selling, but I'm not sure if they'll work w/ your odd setup.

Later,

Steve.

Steve,

I already purchased the wilwood setup. I had to get the car off the lift at the shop. I appreciate the heads up on the brakes. Just a bad situation all around. Thanks agian.

Indeed a shady deal to say the least. People like this always make me second guess buying used parts. You know damn well this guy new stock brakes wouldnt work this is why he was "keeping his brakes to put on the 10bolt" / sell for 650$ lol what a scumbag

Well I didnt know it had the big ends on it to be honest. I ordered it with the wilwood drag brakes which I have and now know I cant use on my stuff now. If I had talked to you sooner I would have sold you the wilwoods I have here alot cheaper than that. I have been out of town for the holiday and just got back today. I knew I would find this post after dealing with Doug. Let see. I threw in 20$ worth the lugnuts, the stuff we had to fabricate to get the sway bar mounted. it cost $280 to ship it to new york. So you sent me $1750 via paypal, which turned into 1699 after thier fees. then subtract the $280 from shipping. That puts me at a little over $1400 I got for the rear. It was purchased with him knowing it was still in the car, but he still pmed and called me everyday demanding the rear by such and such day. Sorry about the brakes issue, I didnt know. You had my number you should have done more than sent 1 pm(on a holiday weekend at that) letting me know about the issue. I would have made it right. If you can return the ones you bought for $600, we can work something out on these I have here.
