Modded 2001 Camaro Z28 (23k miles, M6)
Modded 2001 Camaro Z28 (23k miles, M6)
I've listed my car on LS1TECH.com and LS2.com, so I figure I'd try here as well.
I'm asking $16,500 for it, but will listen to offers as well.
My '01 Z28 is rally red, has the factory T-56 M6 transmission, and has just crossed 23,000 miles. I am the only owner, as I bought it brand new in September of 2001. It doesn't seem to have a piston slap issue like many other '01s, and it uses almost no oil in 5k miles. The car drives beautifully with no driveability issues even though it has a relatively big cam in it. It still has the factory Z06 clutch in it, but it is still holding strong with no problems so far.
I change the oil regularly (nothing but Mobil 1 0w40), every 5 months or 5k miles, whichever comes first... and since I drive my car so little, it usually is the 5 months that comes first. The car has been garaged most of its life, and I and my wife are non-smokers. The interior of the car has no stains, rips, tears, discolorations, etc. I wash and wax the regularly, and I've taken it to car shows to compete. There is a small area of the corner of the rear passenger side bumper cover that has paint chipped off from a mini-van brushing it in a parking lot, but I did claybar off the paint transfer... so all that is left is the actual paint chip area.
At the track, my best results so far have been 12.23 @ 114.06.
Engine Mods: TSP 231/237 cam, Patriot Gold Dual springs with titanium retainers, Manley hardened pushrods, ASP underdrive pulley with overdrive alternator pulley. (Installed July '04)

Rear End: Moser 12 bolt, Eaton heavy-duty posi, 33 spline axles, T/A aluminum cover, C-clip eliminators, 4.11 gears. (On the car since May '04)
Brakes: iRotors crossdrilled/slotted rotors with iRotors pads (fronts only). (on the car since June '04)
Wheels/Tires: OEM SS 17" wheels with Falken GR Beta FK-451 tires (275/50/17). (On the car since July '04) I also have a set of ET Streets (26x10x16) mounted on 16" Firebird twisties for the track.
Transmission: Pro 5.0 short throw shifter with lou's short stick, CAGS eliminator.
Interior mods: Harlan shift light (hidden in center vent), TCS/ASR logic module, SLP shift ****.
Here are some pics, I have more if someone requests them:
If you need anyone to vouch for this car, just ask around in the Northwest section on LS1TECH.com, plenty of guys know my car and how well I've taken care of it.
