Mild 355ci LT1 engine (supercharger/turbo)

I am building a more aggressive engine for my car this winter, so this one is up for sale. This is a complete engine, still together, removed from my car on Monday. I'd like to sell it complete, but I will sell the shortblock seperate from the heads if I have a buyer for each.

This is a very mild blower motor. Passed NYS emissions 3 weeks ago, baby cam (idles near stock).

355ci 9.2:1 compression
97 LT1 block
2 bolt mains w/ARP studs
ARP headbolts
Canton pan
Melling HV pump
Canton pickup
TRW forged pistons (21cc dish)
stock rods w/ARP bolts
stock crank
"LT1 Dave" ported heads
LT1 intake manifold (painted red like the LT4, TB opened to 58mm)
stock fuel rails
stock lifters
1.6 roller rockers
Comp cams valvesprings
chromoly pushrods
stock valvecovers
CC 304 cam (210/220)

Drives like stock with the small cam, but made power all the way to 6200rpms in my car. The engine made around 550rwhp with 10psi of boost. I am going to be keeping the timing cover shown in the pictures since it is modified, but will be installing/including another stock cover. I have the the paperwork for the shortblock build and top end.

I also have an account with R&L Carriers and get deeply discounted rates on freight shipments. I can ship the motor within 2 days of receiving payment.

-Shortblock complete and assembeled with TRW 21cc dished forged pistons, stock crank, stock rods, ARP main studs $650
-Heads ported by "LT1 Dave" in Cinicinnati, stock valves, Comp Cams springs, assembled SOLD
-Cam CC304, 210/220 114LS, idles nearly stock, small cam, has longer dowel pin installed for use with the 95-97 style vented opti $100
-Oil Pan Canton 15242T oil pan w/Melling HV pump and Canton pickup $225
-Intake Stock LT1 intake painted red like the LT4's, TB opened to 58mm $90
-Rockers Harlan Sharpe 1.6 aluminum roller rockers, made by Crane I believe, includes all mounting hardware SOLD

I added the pic to the original post. It was taken yesterday.....not the best pic, but I'll get some better ones tomorrow.

Thanks!

I thought you had to get taller valve covers when you get 1.6 rr?

No, you can run stock valvecovers with 1.6 roller rockers if you modify the inside of them.

Thanks, Jason

How many miles on this setup and what would be the max you would want to push this motor. I have a procharger that im looking to put to use and dont want to push my stock motors abilities. Was looking to build something very close to these specs on a budget. Your right on the other side of the border which is also another big plus!

I bought the car from a Cincinnati local I've also been in the LT1 community for long enough to know that he has done some pretty fast LT1 cars. I don't have any pictures of the porting since the engine is completely assembled still. I also have been porting LTx heads for years on the side for some of my engines and local friends, so I understand porting. By looking into the exhaust ports of these heads, the work looks very good.

Like I said, 550+rwhp on only a 10psi 355ci LT1 indicates that the heads are working quite efficiently.

Thanks, Jason

Threre is around 25k miles on it, but I'll double check that figure. It's somewhere close to that.

97WS6pilot, sent PM.

Thanks, Jason

This is back up forsale since the supposed buyer bricked out on me. The engine is still together, but I am going to part it out at this point unless someone wants the whole thing soon. Here are the prices of the individual items:

-Shortblock complete and assembeled with TRW 21cc dished forged pistons, stock crank, stock rods, ARP main studs $675
-Heads ported by "LT1 Dave" in Cinicinnati, stock valves, Comp Cams springs, assembled $650
-Cam CC304, 210/220 114LS, idles nearly stock, small cam, has longer dowel pin installed for use with the 95-97 style vented opti $100
-Oil Pan Canton 15242T oil pan w/Melling HV pump and Canton pickup $240
-Intake Stock LT1 intake painted red like the LT4's, TB opened to 58mm $90
-Rockers Harlan Sharpe 1.6 aluminum roller rockers, made by Crane I believe, includes all mounting hardware SOLD

If you would like multiple items, let me know and I'll put together a better price for you.

Thanks, Jason
