Exclamation LT1WanaBe a.k.a. Jon Copenhaver where is my cd changer???

For anyone who cares to listen or help... I purchased a cd changer from Jon Copenhaver about a month ago. Communication wasn't the greatest right from the start since neither he nor I frequent the board alot. But now he is just ignoring me. I have emailed his aol account, pm'ed him, and called his cell phone repeatedly with no response. I was nieve to think someone would go through the hassle of scamming me for $85 but I guess I was wrong.

So if anyone knows this guy or has dealt with him please let me know.

Here is his email address:
ChevroletMan78@aol.com

and

AOL IM:
SkreaminLS1

Also let him know that I intend to pursue this to the end no matter what the cost or hassle.

Message to LT1WanaBe:
Jon,
We may only be talking about $85 but I will not rest until you have sent me the cd chager that I paid for or return my money in full. If you think I will give up, think again. I have been MORE than fair and patient with you and will not forget about this until is it resolved!

Guys like that make internet transactions risky. In just this past month, I have already had three transactions go wrong. Two off of ebay, and one off of these boards. It is very discouraging, enough where I probably wont be buying anything used off the internet for awhile. Luckily, the items I bought were not high in price, but it is just the principle.

Well he was last online on the 19th. Before that he wasn't on since 8/21. He view two out of the three of my last pm's, but no response.

Looks like I'll be filing a claim with the IFCC when I get out of work tonight.

It's a shame that although people like JON COPENHAVER, are really a small percentage, but who likes to get ripped off? When ever I buy anything from a private person I only do it in person.

Yeah I hear ya. I think I will be dealing only in person from now on also.

I am still giving the guy I am dealing with the benefit of the doubt of possibly not being on line for a few days and not realizing I paid him through paypal, e-mailed him twice and PMed him here on Camaroz28.com 3 times. I could be a little naive, but I am hoping.

I thought about that too, mainly why I haven't taken legal action against him yet. BUT I have called his cellphone and sometimes it's on while other times I go right to his voicemail, meaning his phone is off. I emailed his aol account, check the status and he deleted the email the other day. The three pm's I sent were finally viewed on the 19th...well all but one for some reason. All this with NO response back from him.

So I have concluded that he is in fact fine and has my money. Oh I also have a copy of the check I sent him w/ his signature on it.

I'm through giving this guy the benefit of the doubt!

Dave
