Comp Cams XE 236/242, .555/.576, 112 LSA cam. The cam has 1400 miles on it. I'm selling it because I'm going with a different H/C setup.

What did you have this cam in? What kind of compression? NA or n2o? What did it make for power?

 

It was in a 396 LT1 with 11:1 compression - NA. Never dynoed the car.

 

Ever have any problem with detonation? Were you able to run pump gas?

 

No pinging problems, ran on 91 octane just fine.

 

I talked to Comp just today about a custom grind, and it is real close to this cam, let me call them again tomorrow, and see what they say. Not quite as much intake lift as my custom, and that is kinda what I need to bleed off cyl pressure since I am at 12:1. Will let you know tomorrow....cool?

I had the wrong lift in the original post. The intake lift is actually .555, not .544.

A stock bottom end car? Why? And it says you are from Bahrain. I have lots of friends from Bahrain but they live in the states for school. So are you from there or from here?

 

I was just curious. Seems like a pretty stout cam. I'm from Maryland but Ive been here 2 years and will be here for 2 more years. I'm in the Navy. Cant wait to see numbers on the cam.

 

I was gonna go with a 246/252 .577/.576 but I stepped down to this. I might buy a 383 shortblock this week to throw it in. I haven't decided
