LT1 Motor For Sale

I've got an LT1 motor with 165000 miles on it pulled from a 1994 Firebird Formula up for sale. The block and heads are in great shape, but I'm not sure about the rest. I bought the car several months ago and dropped a rebuilt LT1 motor in it to replace this one with the intent of eventually rebuilding this one in my spare time. Doesn't look like that's going to happen, so if you're looking for a great project motor with a solid block and good heads, this is what you want. Asking $650. Email fsledwell@yahoo.com with any questions/etc. Thanks!

Hey there. I'm located in Houston, Tx and $400 is kinda pushing it. I have had one other inquiry about this so if for some reason it falls though then I'll follow-up here. Feel free to email me with any questions @ fsledwell@yahoo.com. Thanks.

i was quoted 130 for a long block to be shipped from WA to FL through ups ground...i figured it would only be about 100 or so since he is in TX.

k

We'll I think this motor is the full thing but he just knows the heads and block are good. Because I was gonna buy a SS rearend from someone in Houston and I live in Dallas and shipping was quoted at $180, and I know the motor weights more than the rearend.....but I could be wrong. I figured to another state is around $200+

Ok, here's the diagnosis on the engine I'm selling. The block and heads are in great shape, but there's a spun bearing and rod. I'm not sure which one or how many, but this is what I was told by the previous owner of the car I pulled the engine from. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks!

Heads and Block

I got some info from some peeps that said that if you throw a rod it most likely that the heads will need to be rebuilt and probably a cracked piston, and you said u don't know how many. If the motor is still put together there's no telling, if it's scattered apart then u will be able to tell. I would like some more info on this motor. Thnx

Honestly, that's all the info I have. The motor is still completely together and I haven't had an opportunity to look it over or have anyone else look it over. All the info I have posted was given to me by the guy who owned the car before me. I wish I had more for you, but unfortunately I don't.
