LT1 engine complete, 1993

I just built and installed an 383 stroker in my 1993 Z28. I was going to make another racing motor but make a blower this time.

I am going to build a BB or just a stroker w/o computer etc next go around so I am considering selling the complete 1993 motor.

Here is what I have: 1993 motor with 20,995 miles (original, long story).
I ran about 20 passes with a 12.3 being the best with the front brakes dragging. The engine does not smoke, i.e. burn oil. The engine comes with a Comp Cam 230 x 236 x 112, the RR are sold to my engine builder. I have CM springs good to a .600 lift. The heads are Alum (good for porting according to the stamp), The intake is stock but I used the 93 fuel rails on the 383, but have 94 fuel rails. Stock TB but the opti has only 250 miles and is the new vented opti, harnesses, etc. Good water pump, stock flywheel, dampener, oil pan, water and oil sensors, 24# injectors.

I have no idea what a long block is worth with all this stuff on it.
I am still researching a fair price.

If interested, email me at jimadamsz28@hotmail.com
I live in Orlando Florida

Thanks,
Jim

I'm interrested... what does it have done to it exactly? I live in florida so i could possibly pick up or meet halfway. Just wondering... how is the mileage so low... i mean you say original... is that like from factory in 93? You can e-mail me at dakota@usa.com
Thanks,
Dakota

I might as well post it to everyone to save on multiple replys.
The motor has the stock bore.
The car sat for 2.5 years or more from the original owner. He got the car from a local dealer that the salesmen drove until the owner found out the car was almost two years old and still on the lot.
This electrical engineer (owner) decided to put in a HUGE sound sound system, Military strobe lights, multiple alarms, a siren, a PA system and very complex control system with an automatic starter. He got T boned in an intersection here in Orlando and kept taking the car back to the dealer/bodyshop complaining about the ride and driveablility. He finally got fed up and went out an bought a new 1998 Z28, same color!!!! I purchased the car about two years ago and decided when I bought it to make it a full blown race car. I made about 20 passes with it for benchmarking and checking mods, such as the 230 x 236 , 112 comp cam, 1.6 comp RR's, Combination Motorsports springs good to a 600 lift. I got the car with 20,660 miles and now it sits with a new 383 with 20,995 miles. I have the chip from PCMFORLESS and it is tuned for 42# SVO injectors, but I have them in the 383. The AF ratio was perfect, Alvin did a very good job and did this tune also, but I have yet to get it to the dyno.

So, yes it is the Original factory motor, still running strong. It ran a 12.3 with this engine, then I added 200 pounds with an 8 pt cage and it ran 12.5 in very hot weather, I changed the rear to a 9 in moser with 4.56 gears and got it back down to 12.3 but ran out of rpms; 4.11 gears would have put me coming across the finish perfectly, but the stroker will turn 7K with ease and that will most likley get me across the finish perfectly, if not there is always 30 inch tires. With a 4.11 gear the car would have run a 11.9 or 12.0.

Re: LT1 engine complete, 1993

I have been offered $1200 and I saw one LT1 on Ebay for $900 without the intake or the TB with 76,000 miles.

Make an offer.
