I have a custom grind comp cam xe for a 93-94 LT1. I got the cam from my friend that I bought my car from. Turns out it has the short dowel pin and wouldn't work with the 95-97 opti spark. I know the cam is used and has 600 miles on it. It's in excellent shape and the idle is awesome! I'll list the specs below from comp cams. $230 shipped

yes I know I can change the dowel pin but I don't think you can change the head of the cam to fit a 95-97 opti-spark. It would have to be drilled or something to make the hole in the center deeper and wider.

 

I thought the only thing that was different with the cams was the dowel pin length???

What's different on that cam? Comp lists an XE 236/242 112lsa cam.
I'm interested, but $230 is too much. Can you work on the price? The GM847 retails for like $203 new and is very similar to yours.
