LT1 ALDL Connector
LT1 ALDL Connector
I recently made a cable for my 94 camaro to read the cars computer. It was cheaper to make multiple sets of the pcb at once so I am selling the extras. They are the same circuit as found here

I used it with FreeScan and it works just fine. Just keep in mind these are pcb's so there is no housing or nice connector like you get with the $50 ones. If anyone is interested let me know. I can get pictures if anyone wants them.
$35 shipped
EDIT: These boards worked for tuning my 94 with WinFlash and TunerPro.

Re: LT1 ALDL Connector
Also interested in how much... Also, this is OBD1 correct? I'm 'fortunate' enough to have a 95 LT1 OBD1 car with an OBDII port on it... from the pics, I would simply need to research what the com pins are on the ODBII config and plug them in? Currious as to why you wouldnt have included a third pin/wire for ground?

Currently I'm doing $35 shipped. The nicer "full connector style" ones are 50 so I figure this is a fair compromise, being it looks kinda bare. Yes you only need to find out which pins are the data and ground pins for the connector.
Here it is showing both 94 and 95 connectors, choose appropriately

The third wire for ground, and actually another for the +12v from the cigarette lighter, are not required. I designed this to work with a single USB cable (ebay for $1), and the connectors to the ALDL port only. The +12v for the previous designs you see on the internet are for true 9 pin serial ports. This emulates a UART through USB, and hence only the 5v from the data stream is enough. The ground pin is actually one of the two pins that go to the ALDL connector, and is also tied with the USB to the computer.
EDIT: Yes these are for OBD1, years 94 and 95.

Re: LT1 ALDL Connector
Got mine yesterday.. it was a piece of cake to use and worked great. I tried it with freescan so far and it works really nice. It even has leds that let you know its powered up.its so simple to use. Once installed, I just plugged the two wires into the aldl connector under the dash and started the laptop software and thats it. Im going to test it on other software too soon and report back.

For anyone curious as to how it works and how to use it here is a video.
