This was a great engine, but some one was a little hard on if before my girlfriend bought her car. Cylinder 5 is down on compression. Last time i checked it was 75-80psi and all the rest were 115-120psi. It uses a little more oil than than most ls1's. Closer to 1 quarts every 3,000 miles. It only needs a oil pan, pick up , and windage tray, as well as a small rebuild, Rings and bearings only, to be running like new again. Rod and main bearings are fine.

Again this is a running ls1,we pulled it out Tuesday night, she drove it into the garage. It was swapped out with a GTO 5.7 crate engine from SDPC, thats why there is no oil pan.
