Re: looking for some taylor over the valve cover wires and looms

I got a set from elitesparkplugs.com. hmm... i am happy w/ the wires, but have had much better transactions. i got the 8mm wires in red. they never sent 'em... never answer their phones either. you leave messages and you're happy when they call back days later. they always transfer you from department to department although it just sounds like they're running everything out of some little shop. they said they sent the wires and were returned but yet they had my correct address. i got the wires finally and it didn't come w/a coil wire. they then said that the kit wasn't supposed to come w/ a coil wire and that i should re use my stock wire. i was like, well isn't that kind of a bottleneck to send all the current from the coil, down to a 6 mm wire, back up to 8mm wires? so then, two days later, they said they were wrong and it WAS supposed to come w/ a coil wire, so they made me one and sent it. when it got to my house it didn't come w/ the heat shielding i had ordered on the rest of the wires, but i was so tired of dealing w/ them that i just said screw it and used the wire w/o the heat shield.
Nuff said!!
By the way, the wires/"kit" didn't come with separators! wish they did, cuz now i've got to go about getting some

Does anyone know if they make the 409 in OTVC form?

I don't really want to step down to 9mm or 8mm...

Why not? You dont have any major mods that would require a huge wire.....

Re: looking for some taylor over the valve cover wires and looms

For one thing, if I keep this car, I'll be fabbing up a turbo setup, which will be a big enough mod to require them.

Even if not, the 10.4 are just a better wire, they will last longer and are more efficient.

Changing wires on these cars is a bitch, so in my opinion, the bigger the better. If they sold 14mm wires that would last twice as long for say 160, I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

I am sorry that your experience was not a pleasant one. Please send me a PM with your name and address and I will send you a replacement ignition coil with the heat shield.
