OMG Why don't you just give this poor guy the benefit of the doubt, and let this thread die already. If you don't receive the parts in the time that he has just stated then you can start crying. He doesn't look like he is going to run off to Mexico with your $75...

well when you start giving breaks all the time thats when the scammers start coming out of the woods again. Looks like this board has been pretty clean lately. Don't give a guy **** because he's worried when the parts are past due.

I'm NOT by any means "condoning" anybody scamming anybody, but what I am trying to say is this guy has been a member here since 1999 and is an active member of the CamaroZ28 community and I don't think that he is trying to rip this other guy off of $75 & ruin his reputation here on the board.

I hope this situation gets settled quickly so it can just eleviate the whole problem. He was upfront about going on vacation, and I'm sure he will do the right thing to get this issue settled...

It's about to make you feel worse.......

As of this morning, no parts. I've been playing detective because evidently you won't. After almost a week of trying, I finally manage to track down The person who oversees all shipments done through greyhound in Big Rapids. Come to find out that you did indeed ship the parts, but alas not until 4/8. That is where the package sat until someone there decided to finally send it out on 4/12.

It certainly does appear that you did ship the parts, but it took me lighting a fire to get it done. I won't apologize for calling you on the carpet, facts are facts and the fact that it was indeed shipped is the only thing that can be considered a truth. As of the time of my original post, you still had not shipped the parts like you said you did.

So......... Greyhound shipping from Big Rapids gets a thumbs down.

Personal service I got from the Greyhound office in Big Rapids, a big thumbs up (after a few tries)

Jason's consistancy of story, both a win and a loss at the same time. Both of us had to screw around for far too long and I still say that If I hadn't lit a fire, there would still be some sort of problem. The fact that it was shipped alludes to the fact that scamming wasn't an intention. More than likely just lazy as hell.

When the parts arrive and all is well, I'll delete this thread and post a simple follow up on the parts for sale thread. Or shouild I? Perhaps a popular vote as to keep it here or delete............

I had called Big Rapids and was told by a nice polite college girl that she was useless to helping me and the person who could wouldn't be back in that day. I proceeded to call Greyhound GPX the same day and met with a woman that was doing all the tracking information for me. She couldn't track down the package anywhere but was going to give me a return call when she did, and also give me a reference #. This was like 8-8:30 in the morning. Never got a call back, so I called them again around 4 in the afternoon to see if anything had been found out. The guy who answered still had no idea where the parts were but could now provide me with a reference #, that was it. So I was holding off for better informantion, but still haven't received it yet. I'm glad your detective skills are better than mine and shipping via greyhound is definately something I will probably never do again. Hope you get the parts soon and email me when you do.

Let me tell ya something, those people are a piece of work. It took many phone calls, I literally spoke with everyone in that location at one point or another and just refused to take "I'm not sure" for an answer. It took a call to Greyhound Corporate to get someone's attention. Then my phone started ringing. Greyhound shipping is usually pretty reliable, the main problem is that Big Rapids is not a regular Greyhound run station, it is an independantly run outfit and they are not on the company standard computer network. They basically don't know squat. That is why that package sat there for days after you dropped it off. I find it a coincidence that the package went not long after my phone call on Monday about a missing package.

I have to deal with the same thing on my end, the local station is run by a travel agent. At least I know them personally and can get answers and preferred treatment.
