Not everyone is a con artist, dude. Some of us are very honest.

What are you trying to buy? I don't have performance parts for sale but I may have some powertrain stuff.

I agree with the Paypal idea, it offers a little more security rather then just blindly sending money orders through the mail. When I was new to this site, the very first purchase I made was with a money order and the guy burned me. It is not right, but I'm just more careful now. I'll only do business with people who have higher post counts or who have been established on this site for awhile. Plus, I'll only use Paypal and a credit card as a form of payment.

I hope there are not scams. I look at join dates and how often people post. (not post count) before i buy anything.

I thought i got ripped a few months ago. But, after a week or so he returned and sent my package. People have stuff come up aka family probs whatever.

I always use paypal and my credit card. That way if paypal wont refund me, I would talk to my credit card company. So far I've had all good experiences though! Sometimes you got to do a little recon work, searching about the seller to find good/bad things about them.

So far I have had good luck...keep my fingers crossed...but it seems that most people I buy from are good people and you really cant beat a lot of the deals on these forums. Well, lets definently keep up on the scam-artists as i try and buy a lot of things on these forums as I know others do also.

I ask for a phone number that I can call them on to confirm the sale. From that conversation, you try to get a feel for the guy. And use Paypal, if you are that picky, only use "Verified" paypal accts.
