HRE 543 wheels for sale

Hi Everyone,
A friend who is very involved with F-bodys recommended this forum and suggested I post this here, as he thought these wheels might be of great interest to someone. While I'm totally new here, I've been a member of the CorvetteForum for several years. (I'm not sure if that constitutes a reference or not .)

An acquaintance and I are selling a set of 3 piece high polished (center section and outer shell) HRE 543 wheels. It's a bit of a long story as to how this came about, and I won't bore you with the details (but if someone wants to know I'll be happy to explain).
Two of the wheels are 17x9", and I was told by HRE that the wheels were originally built for an F-body vehicle. They have an approximate backspacing of 6.81" and approximate offset of +50mm. I personally tried this wheel on the front of a buddy's Firebird to check clearances, fit, etc., and it fit perfectly.
The other pair of wheels are 17x9.5", and are the same as OEM C5 Corvette Z06 wheels insofar as offset and backspacing (which I believe is 54mm and 7.37" respectively). I'm told this size will fit the rear of an F-body again without problems.
The wheels are in good to very good condition. The centers are fine, but the rim lips have a minor bit of curb rash or were roughed up a bit from some poor tire changes. I am confident one could smooth and fix these blemishes himself if so desired. 4 HRE red/white/blue centercaps are included. If someone could point me to some directions for posting pictures, I'll be happy to do so. In case anyone was wondering, these wheels are about $1100 each new, plus shipping.
Asking price is $1550 including shipping and insurance (in CONUS) for the set. Thanks for your consideration.

Here are some pictures. The wheels on the red carpet are the 9"s; the ones with the center cap installed are the 9.5"s. I tried to give you some good shots of the rim lips to honestly depict their condition; one could clean up these edges at home - no need to send out for refinishing:

They need some work, but considering the price of what they go for new, I would think this is going to be a very good deal for someone. Good luck with the sale.

Hi Z-rated,
Thanks for the support. While they could use a little TLC, I think the important thing is that one could do this at home with some abrasives, polishing compounds, and a little elbow grease - no need to send them out !!

Very interesting deal. Too bad you aren't a little closer to ATL.

5X4.75? I mean, obviously 5. But are they 4.75 apart?

Hi Ziggy,
If your question is directed to me, I'm sorry I don't understand what you are asking.
(one hour later)
Ah, the morning coffee finally kicked in...you're asking me what is the wheel's bolt pattern?
Yes, I believe it is the standard GM 5x4.75" pattern. As I said, HRE told me the 9"s were originally built for an F-body, and I've tried them on both a late-model Firebird and a C4 Corvette and they fit fine. The 9.5"s, which were built to C5 Z06 specs, also use the same bolt pattern.

A 'sort of' guarantee? If so I'm the buyer!
