Question How much is it worth?

I am thinking about building a 396 so selling my motor as a longblock would be the best thing to do. Here are the specs:

355 c.i., TRW 10.4:1 forged pistons, SpeedPro filefit plasmamoly rings, forged "Pink" rods, stock polished crank, 254/191@.600 ported and polished heads, Comp Cams dual valve springs, Comp Cams XE 230/236 duration, .544"/.555" lift, 112 lsa

The motor has around 8k miles and the cam has about 3k miles. The machine work was done at a local speed shop and the motor was built by a master engine builder at a Chevrolet dealer. I would consider trading for a STOCK longblock.

Here is the flow sheet for the heads and some pics:

Let me get this straight. You are wanting to trade straight up a 355 heads/cam motor for a stock LT1 longblock? If so, I have a COMPLETLY stock 1994 LT1 that I would take out of my car and drive to your residence in Ft. Worth. LMK.

Yes I am willing to trade for a stock longblock as a core PLUS cash.

I just called Combination Motorsports and they sell their LT1 street series 355 w/ Stage 1 heads for right at $7,000. That includes: 2 bolt main caps with ARP main studs
Stress relieved stock
LT1 crank, thoroughly inspected for strength
Eagle 4340 forged H-Beam connecting rods
SRP forged pistons (flat top/dish top depending on application)
JE Plasma Moly ring set
Clevite 77 race bearings
Melling high volume oil pump
Fully balanced and blueprinted
Custom hydraulic roller camshaft designed for customer’s goals
Competition Cams Pro Magnum full roller rockers
One piece chromemoly pushrods
Ported LT1/LT4 intake manifold
Competition Cams roller lifters

Mine does not include the rockers, pushrods, lifters or intake. So I think $2,000 + a stock longblock is VERY fair, thoughts?
