Head Studs SBC Chevy small block 350 MAKE OFFER !!

COMPLETE Head bolt kit , for a Small Block Chevy . These are the STUD type , where the shaft threads into the block , then the nut and washer are put on .. Makes it VERY easy to line up the gaskets on the motor and keep them from sliding around while you torque the heads . Not to mention , they are CHROME MOLY and 10x stronger and better than using BOLTS !!! I bought these BRAND NEW . I siliconed them in but NEVER torqured them !! I only verified that they fit my motor , a Vortec Headed 350 , and I ened up selling the motor befoe completing it .. They fit just about ANY Small Block that Chevy made , as long as the deck height to bolt seat distance is STOCK , these WILL FIT !! I thought they were ARP Head studs but , generally , ARP is VERY proud of thier stuff and they put thier LOGO all over it !! , but this set doesn't sat ARP ANYWHERE on them !!! I bought this set for $100 bucks or so for my hotrod motor , It was sold months ago and these are left over .. MY LOSS =YOUR GAIN !!! Tell me what they are worth !!

pictures and detail can bew found here ....

not trying to be a ***, but the locating dowel pins hold the gasket in place, not the studs.

and yea, if they are ARP studs, they have ARP stamped into the end.

yup .. and you breath funny on them and gasket slides out ... or for us people that like to ZERO DECK our motors, we pulled the pins to mill the deck .... not to mention the real value of studs .. better clamping force and the NICE washers that keep you from marring your heads ... especially aluminum ones ....

thanx

actually, after you deck the motor, you're suppost to re install the pins.
the gasket locks onto the pins, you have to press it to slip on.. its not slipping anywhere. that is the only reason the pins exist.

the holes in the head gasket around the bolts are not small enough nor are they accurate for holding the gasket. thats why the pins are there.

but yea, studs are great. they give more accurate TQ readings, dont wear out the threads in the block, and you can seal them easier.
