okay, i'm not ready to sell yet, but i will be soon so i figured i'd get a good start to see how much i'll be able to get and if anyone will actually be interested in buying these...
i'm GOING TO BE selling my stock rims off my 96 Trans Am. they are the aluminum straight spoke 5-stars with ABS center caps. i have 6 rims total. 2 rims come without tires. one of these two rims without tires on it has a scratch on it, but overall is in good condition still. the rims that are on my car are the same as the spare 2. the ones in the front need some TLC to restore them to glory. they have some clear-coat issues, and some curb rash. no real visible scratches or anything, but these two rims are the worst off of the bunch, mostly because of the clear coat. if i was keeping the rims, i was planning to swap the front 2 for the spare 2... and use the ones with clear coat issues for drag slicks. they have Futura SuperSport GLS's... not the greatest tires, but they were on there when i bought the car... and they still have a LOT of tread life left in them. the rear 2 rims are in great condition. they clean up very nice and are the 2 best out of the 6. these rims have Nitto NT555R Extreme Drags on them. the Nitto's aren't but a couple months old, and have somewhere between 80% and 90% of the tread left on them.
overall, these 6 rims and 4 tires would be a great buy. i would prefer to sell them all together to make things easier, but i am willing to seperate. i will _NOT_ seperate the tires from the rims they are on.
you would usually see these rims go for about $50 a piece. i'm gonna go with that... except for on the front 2, which i will cut the price in half. so, rims all together totals out at $250... i'm cutting the cost of the Nitto's in half, asking $150... and then throw in the Futura's for $50. that would bring the total to $450 plus shipping as the asking price. like i said, i would prefer to keep everything together, but i will seperate if necessary... but i don't want to have to take rims to the shop to have tires pulled off to sell them seperately. i'm just guaging interest at the moment, but would like to know if anyone is interested, and hear your offer if you think my asking price is too high.
