Guageing intrest and trying to get a fair $$$ to ask
I will be pulling the motor out of my car in the next couple of weeks and I be selling my heads, cam, intake. I don't really know what to ask but i will give the complete rundown on what would be up for sale. If someone could give me a ballpark figure that would be fair for a buyer and for me.
Lt4 heads, completely ported. They have the stock sodium filled lt4 valves. I bought these at the begining of this year and they were already ported once. Whoever ported them over ported the intake runners so where the intake gakset meets the bottom of the port is kinda thin and hard to get a good enought seal not to suck oil. I ran the heads the way they are all season and it didn't suck much oil at all through there. If you wanted it right so there was no chance of a leak, you could have some material welded on and then smothed out. When i got the heads i sent them off to another head ported and got them touched up. He said whoever did them the first time did the short side a little wrong so they weren't going to be able to flow as well as a set of heads with perfect porting. I also had a valve job done while they were at the porters. They have ARP 7/16 studs, the longest ones they have. The springs are matched to the cam that would come with this package, but need to be replaced as they have a full season on them. It comes with titanium retainers. The flow numbers are at the bottom. I also have the lt4 intake that had the runners wellded and ported to get the ramps out. The ports are still a little rought could use to be finished up. The intake is powerder coated silver for the sneaky approach. The powerder coating is messed up in the front on the passanger side from a fuel leak I had. I had a cam custom ground for this combo from bret bauer. It is a soild roller and the cam specs will only be released to the purchaser but i will give you and idea of what they are. I didn't have any ptv clearance problems with a 1.6 rocker and a stock bottom end. 23x/25x .6xx/.6xx 10x lsa. All you would need to make this combo work is a good set of lifters and pushrods, plus rockers and springs. Thanks for everyones imput.. If you have questions feel free to ask.

Re: Guageing intrest and trying to get a fair $$$ to ask
man for a set of heads that you said needs basicly everything except studs and then say pull in oil because of bad porting? man you would be lucky if you got anything at all for them
now the intake and cam you could get about 400 for...but the heads i just dont know because of everything involved in repairing them so they seal right
but if you want to sell the cam and intake depending on the specs of the cam...i may be interested

Re: Guageing intrest and trying to get a fair $$$ to ask
The only thing the heads would need are spings. They have everything else. Would i be better off fixing the heads, then selling them? I didn't think you could get afr heads, ported lt4 intake, and a custom cam for less than $2300. Thanks for the help guys, now i know that i should get everything straighend out with the heads first. I would also have a victor jr. that has been re-drilled for the heads.
Re: Guageing intrest and trying to get a fair $$$ to ask
yea i would definatly get the heads straight atleast...get whatever welding done to them they need and reported....
but yea there is a guy selling very good flowing afr raceport heads with lt4 intake port matched for 2400
victor jr as in carburated intake?

Yep, as in the carb intake. Once i get the heads off the car i will take them into the machine shop and get them taken care of then i will put them up for sale. Thanks guys.
Re: Guageing intrest and trying to get a fair $$$ to ask
The intake is matched to a felpro gasket, but i do not remember what gasket it is. The ports on the intake are a bit smaller than my ports on my ported lt4's. I would be intrested in selling but I need to borrow a cammera so i can take pics of it. It is still on the motor which is still in the car. It should all be out in a week or so.
