Hrmmm. Well an aftermarket SS hood will sit on my 97 Z28 the same as the Gm unit will. Wasnt lowballing, but it has been DAMAGED.

Personally I think an aftermarket hood has as better chance of fitment than your damaged GM one. How much were you hoping to get for it? Just cuz you put hella money into fixing it doesn't bring up its worth. Its still worth LESS than a new one. Perhaps 350$ shipped wasn't what you were looking for but it wasn't a lowball. My .02

Re: Gm Ss Hood

How can you distinguish between the two? Are there visual differences?

Yes, there are visual differences on the underside. Gm SS hoods have stampings on the underside. They are also always functional. Mark (RedThunder1994) can post pictures for anyone wanting to see. Thanks.

Re: Gm Ss Hood

Btw, as for fitment issues that anyone has about this hood. Me and Mark recently installed this hood on his personal car, our friend Dustin's car (also on the board) and my car (which has been wrecked in the past but put on a frame machine) and we had it fitting nearly perfect within 30 minutes each time. At first the front passenger side sat high but when we was done fitting it, it was perfect. This is a good hood and definatly looks badass, even if it is primed at the moment.

Re: Gm Ss Hood

Send me a PM with your asking price. If you don't want to ship I'd be happy to drive out and pick it up. If you have any pics could you post or email them?

Thanks.
